We all want to look our best on Valentine’s Day and impress the guy or gal we’re planning to spend the whole day with. Or maybe you’re single and you want a killer outfit to grab someone’s attention. Well I’ve got three Valentine’s Day outfits to inspire you; and I’ve even helped you out with what to wear in three different Valentine’s scenarios: a day out, dinner and an evening out.
When I think of Valentine’s day I think of love and the colour red; so I thought I’d theme my outfits with that very love shade in mind. The weather isn’t too warm at this time of year either so don’t worry, I’ve even thought about coats! Whatever you’ve got planned, I definitely think one of my outfits will inspire you. If you don’t fancy scrolling down and prefer watching videos, then you can catch all of these outfits in my Valentine’s Look Book here:
A DAY OUT
You might have a spot of retail therapy planned with your Valentine or a casual lunch date. If you’ve got something cute planned for during the day, then I definitely think it’s best to keep it casual. You can still add elements of a dressy look with accessories and heeled boots, but if you’ve got a long day out you want to feel comfortable. Especially if it’s your first date; leave everything to their imagination and cover up!
As you can see I’ve gone for plain black jeans with the addition of a flare, a red shirt with flare sleeves, boots and a faux fur jacket. Casual but themed very Valentine’s. I love the matching flares on the sleeves of the shirt and legs of the jeans; it shows that you’ve got an eye for styling, care about the way you dress and that you have an interest in fashion. This outfit would even work if you were planning on a chilled evening meal, nothing too fancy. This outfit won’t break the bank either and pieces like this are wearable wardrobe staples!
Maybe you’ve planned a nice meal out so are looking for an outfit that isn’t too dressy, but isn’t too casual at the same time. I find a shirt dress is the best garment to opt for, in scenarios like this. I’ve styled this burgundy shirt dress with fish net tights and heeled boots and this combo works great for a meal out that might lead into cocktails. It’s one of those safe outfits in case you’re not sure where the night will take you. And what I love about this shirt dress, is that the lace up sleeves just give it something else; I’m never one to wear something plain, I love for a garment to have some detail; whether that’s an oversized fit, slogan on the front or lace up sleeve like this shirt.
AN EVENING OUT
My final outfit is for if you’ve planned an evening out on the town. Maybe you’re single and want something a little revealing to catch someone’s eye, or maybe you want your Valentine to keep their eyes on your for the whole night. This low plunge jumpsuit will definitely grab everyone’s attention! It also pairs perfectly with a crop faux fur coat, so you can cover up as and when you feel like it. I adore the mesh and embroidery design on the chest; paired with a red lip just like my images below and you will look gorgeous. The floral design is perfect for Valentine’s; and you never know, you might even get a red rose to go with it!
